Nigeria Railway Project (key railway linking the economic centre and industrial hub of Nigeria)

The Railway of Lagos-Ikebani is the second phase of the railway modernization project in Nigeria, undertaken by China Tielu Group. It connects Lagos, the economic hub of Nigeria, with Ibadan, a major industrial center in the southwest. The main line is approximately 157 kilometers long, and an additional 7-kilometer branch line to Apapa Port has been constructed, achieving seamless connectivity between the port and the railway. The project employs CPG500 long rail laying units, which are characterized by high automation, broad applicability, precise laying, minimal track bed disturbance, and high overall operational efficiency.
